Indy Decorative Artist

Today was my Indy Decorative Artist meeting. I have belonged to this group of artist since 1985 we meet once a month. We are the ones that painted the quilt at the State Fair and give 50% of the proceeds to Riley Children's Hospital.

We also have to have food to eat it is the ritual of our get togethers we always have some snack food. The table always looks nice.

These boxes have been painted by the members. They are called Memory Boxes. We as a club purchase, paint and give to some of the local hospitals. We go through about 100 a year. The sad part is they are given to a woman who has lost her baby at birth. The child has to be some many weeks along and that is determined by the hospital. I am the present chairman of this committee and I appreciate all the ladies hard work.
The hospital will put things that belong to the baby in the box and give to the Mother

Take care until tomorrow.

Just found your blog. :) My aunt has an antique store too, and I always thought that sounds like the most fun job ever. (And she was on Antiques Roadshow a while ago, which was super fun--I wrote about it here! http://startupmarriage.blogspot.com/2010/05/my-aunt-on-antiques-roadshow.html) Now following you!
