Something Different Gourd Tutorial

This is the unfinished gourd that I painted and put
greenery on the top like a carrot.

Start with a unfinished banana gourd about 7 inches long

Paint it Burnt Orange. Shown below

next make thin lines with Burnt Sienna and Burnt

Umber also use Straw. You can see the small lines

below. Then buff with a dry brush of Burnt Sienna

Make a hole in the top of your gourd with a large needle

or other instrument. I just bought a fern and took it apart

only use a small piece of the fern put glue on it and inserted into

the hole Let dry. Use your choice of varnish
