Lost Hay Bales

You never know what will happen when you live in the country and farm.   Last night at around 10:15  we got a call from the sheriff's office.   They ask if we had been moving hay bales?  Jim was watching TV and I was reading .  I said no but what was the problem?  She said they had a call and there were several round bales in the road on a Horse Shoe Turn by our house.  Hubby grabbed his coat and put on his boots out the door he went. When he got up around the road there were 9  round bales some in the road and some in the ditch.   Hubby came back got the tractor and started moving them out of the road.  It was almost midnight when we got back.   The sheriff  and I sat at different  ends of the bales to slow traffic.  

We put them aside of where our bales are stored just outside of  where the cows are pastured.  You call see the difference.  Today a lady who  boards horses  showed up to claim the bales.   She didn't know that she lost 9 bales in the road. Until she got home and saw the strap dragging.    

Glad no one was following her!!!!!!!
