English Toffee Pudding

This is a dessert that was served at the school my children attended years ago.  It was published in a local cookbook and I always enjoyed serving it Here is the recipe
1 cup butter
1 1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup powdered milk
2 tsp vanilla
2 squares melted choc
4 egg beater eggs
Beat butter and sugar until fluffy
Mix in order given
Add 2 eggs at a time beat 2 minutes
Pour over cracker crust or serve in bowl
Chill for 3 hrs.
Use Egg Beater eggs http://www.eggbeaters.com/ as it is not good to use raw eggs this dish is not cooked at anytime.
It is easy to make and different Please enjoy.

We are back in the field today hope the rain holds off so we can get field work done.

Long title for a cake but Nancy at  wifeofadairyman.blogspot.com  had this cake on her blog Sat night if you want the recipe you will have to visit Nancy's blog  She was camping in a RV in someones drive and wasn't able to bake this cake.  I needed a cake for a meeting so I baked it for her.  I also wanted to hook-up with  Liz and Amy at 2maidsabaking.blogspot.com
By the way the cake was a hit everyone enjoyed it
We did start planting yesterday and hope we can keep the planter rolling. We are so far behind.  Today is also Property Tax Day
I am off to buy some small  gourds from a couple of retired farmers in Clay city area.  Winters in Florida summers in Indiana  Don't envy them I like Indiana and the change of seasons  don't even mind the winters but I don't have to drive to work everyday like a lot of you gals.

While I am think about food the sdfarmwife.blogspot.com Morgan is her name, is looking for ideas for sandwiches for the family members she feeds on her shift to feed the workers. Please check her out  if you can't get her email me and I will try something else.
Have a great day and hope for Sunshine.

Meeting someone from home

I don't  have any pictures but I have a good story to tell.   Everyone likes a good story. Today I was in the Morgan county fair office  and I found out that one of our recent fair Queens has married a Farmer.  I need to find out the whole story of how she ended up in South Dakota  married to a farmer.  I have emailed  her and I am adding her to my blog so you may visit with her.  She is looking for some  sandwiches that can go to the field that they can eat while working..  Morgan"s blog is http://sdfarmwife.blogspot.com

I know it has been a week since I blogged but with all that is going on I am just covered up.
I will try and do better  I have a IPhone so maybe I can take more pictures  no excuse about the camera
being at home.
Take care hoping we all get to the field in a day or two
