Persimmon Time

It is time to make the persimmon pudding the kind that looks like brown mashed potatoes not the cake. When I married Jim the harvest ritual was to have persimmon pudding I think he could eat it all the time. I have just froze this batch because we are working on a couple of pies that I bought at the orchard this weekend If anyone would some persimmons please email me and you can pick them up there is an abundance this year

Speaking about pies one of the pies were very good the other had firm peaches and and soft crust on the bottom. I know sometimes I have run across this before at a pitch-in when people are in a hurry to get there and they remove the pie to soon. Well instead of pitching the pie to the dumpster I decided I would give it a chance to be editable. I heated the oven to 350 and put the pie on a cast iron plate so it would help the bottom crust 20 minutes we had a new peach pie.

When I make the persimmon pudding I will take a picture .

Last but now least my daughter starts her Chemo today so please keep her in your prayers. Prayer chains are powerful I thank you for your prayers
Until another day take care
